ACP2 belongs to a family of distinct isoenzymes which hydrolyze orthophosphoric monoesters to alcohol and phosphate. In addition, Acid phosphatase deficiency is caused by mutations in the ACP2-beta subunit as well as ACP3-alpha subunit genes. |
