Description RPS3 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 263 amino acids (1-243) and having a molecular mass of 28.8 kDa.RPS3 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Protein Background 40S ribosomal protein S3 is a member of the S3P family of ribosomal proteins. RPS3 facilitates the formation of the mRNA binding site 3' of the codon in the decoding site. Moreover, RPS3 takes part in DNA damage recognition due to its affinity for abasic sites and 7, 8-dihydro-8-oxoguanine residues and its collaboration with human base excision repair proteins OGG1 and Ref-1. Expression of RPS3 is higher in colon adenocarcinomas and adenomatous polyps compared to adjacent normal colonic mucosa.
Expression host E.coli.
Synonyms S3, Ribosomal protein S3, 40S ribosomal protein S3, IMR-90 ribosomal protein S3, MGC87870, FLJ26283, FLJ27450.
Reagent Appearance Sterile Filtered colorless solution.
Stability Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
